HCAL Kitten Teaches Preschoolers about Animal Rescue

The Jersey Journal did a story on HCAL's recent visit to the Park Prep Academy preschool in Jersey City Heights. The children presented homemade pet treats to Harry, one of our rescues, and Kathleen, one of our board members. Harry was a big hit and taught the kids about animal rescue. After his moment in the spotlight, Harry went to live in a new home of his own.

Animal Disaster Planning

2011 began with blizzards and went on to throw Hurricane Irene and the Halloween Blizzard at us, leaving many people wondering what to do for their pets in an emergency. February 12, 10:30 a.m. - Bus Trip to Mt. Airy Casino

The HCAL bus will be leaving from East 35th Street in Bayonne and heading for a fun day at the Mt. Airy Casino. The cost per person is $35, with $25 slot play and a $10 food coupon. There will be light refreshments, games and fun on the bus! To reserve your seat, call Phyllis at 201 339-4517.
