Animal Disaster Planning

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf Coast response effort, more focus than ever has been placed on the inclusion of animals in disaster response plans. The Hudson County Animal Response Team (CART), part of the Office of Emergency Management, is responsible for designing a plan to ensure that in the event of a disaster, an organized, professional team of individuals will respond and properly care for affected animals...(Full Story)

February 25, 7:00 p.m. - Celebrating Home Cookies & Dessert Fundraiser - First Federated Church, 33rd Street & Avenue C, Bayonne

February 11, 7:00 p.m. - Valentine Tree Lighting Ceremony - Bayonne Public Library, 31st Street & Avenue C, Bayonne

Have a heart for homeless animals and help us decorate the HCAL Valentine's Tree, which will be on display at the Bayonne Public Library from February 11-March 6. If you would like to have an ornament of your beloved pet (living or a loving memory) created for the tree, please download the attached ornament request form and return it to HCAL as indicated on the form.
